Bolfo Gold Cat Flea Drops
- Description

When to use
For the prevention and treatment of fleas in cats less than 4 kg body weight. For cats of 4 kg body weight and more, use Bolfo Gold flea drops cat 80. Fleas on the cat are killed within one day after administration. A one-time treatment protects against the development of a flea population for 4 weeks. The product can be used as part of the control strategy against flea allergy dermatitis.
Usage restriction
Not for use in unweaned kittens less than 8 weeks old
Method of administration
Take a tube out of the package. Hold the tube upright, twist and remove the cap. Place the cap back on upside down, turn to break the seal and remove the cap.
Part the hair on the cat's neck at the base of the skull until the skin becomes visible.
Place the open side of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.
Apply only to undamaged skin. Do not allow recently treated animals to lick each other.
Side effects
The product has a bitter taste and drooling may sometimes occur when the cat licks the application site immediately after treatment. This is not a symptom of intoxication and disappears within a few minutes without treatment. Correct administration minimizes the opportunity for the cat to lick the product.
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
- Wash hands thoroughly after use.
- Wash any skin contamination with soap and water.
- Persons with known skin hypersensitivity may be particularly sensitive to this product.
- Avoid contact of the product with the eyes or mouth.
- If the product accidentally comes into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. If skin or eye irritation persists or if the product is accidentally swallowed, seek medical supervision.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke during administration.
Care should be taken to ensure that the contents of the tube do not come into contact with the eyes or mouth of the animal to be treated. Do not allow recently treated animals to lick each other.
No primary embryotoxic, teratogenic or reproductive toxic effects were observed during the studies with imidacloprid in rats and rabbits. Studies on pregnant and lactating bitches together with their offspring are limited. The evidence to date suggests that no side effects are to be expected in these animals.
No interactions were observed after administration of double the recommended dose of this product and commonly used veterinary medicinal products based on fenthion, lufenuron, milbemycin, febantel, pyrantel or praziquantel. Compatibility of the product has also been demonstrated with a wide range of routine treatments under field conditions, including vaccination.
